I think this should be the number 1 thing in Toledo! The Church itself is beautiful with its fresh/clean white decor and the tower views make it all worth it. The climb isn’t too bad, especially considering what you see when you get to the...More

I visited this church on May 3rd 2018. The person at the front desk was very welcoming and asked if we spoke English and directed us up to the tower to see the views. On the tower stairs was a young man oddly taking pictures...More

The only reason I love this church is because of the unbelievable view of the city at the top of the church tower. This is the only church in town which allows visitors access to the tower top and it is impressive. Other than that,...More

This Baroque church makes you feel relaxed and calm upon entering it because of its light walls and light filled interior. It is one of the few churchs where you can climb the tower (approximately 131 steps) to see spectacular views. You can view photos...More

The church has little of interest but the view of the city from the bell tower is worth the fairly steep climb.

This church is lasting testimony to the “last stand” of the Jesuits in Toledo, and it is more interesting for its high tower. It appealed to the heritage or local culture in honouring a 7th c. Visigothic saint, St. Ildefonso, archbishop of Toledo (whose image...More

The interior is predominantly white with some typical Gothic gold decoration, but it lacks any particular features apart from the great view from the top of the tower if you have the energy and bravery to climb the exposed internal stairway up there. Good view...More

The church itself is really cosy and I wanted to spend more time inside. It's all white and they play really relaxing music (it didn't sound very religious). Then I went upstairs to the twin towers from where you can see the whole Toledo. It's...More

Lovely church with beautiful white stonework, but typical of many other churches so didn’t spend a lot of time here; however I’ve been told you can go upstairs for great view

Visited around 2pm and the church was extremely quiet. Chance to contemplate the church and side chapels and art work. Then up to the towers. Once in the towers there are great views all around. Not sure that the stone finials are that safe! So...More
