You cannot visit Toledo and not walk around its walls (if you're fit enough of course). It really shows you how well fortified this city was and you can imagine the difficulty the 'enemies' had to try and take it over. Impossible!
The well preserved walls of Toledo are quite impressive for their blend of Roman, Moorish and medieval architectural elements. The many gates make them even more interesting. The fact that they are so well preserved just adds to their importance.
Note the pretty pocket parks.
Toledo's wall is massive, and partly 2,000 years old. Built by the Romans, and enhanced by the Moors, this wall certainly served its purpose! (to keep the bad guys out ;-)
