We came to Toledo to visit all the usual tourist sites, and just happened to come across the Victorio Macho museum. Having never heard of Macho, we were surprised to learn that he is, if not the most famous, then among the most famous of...More

In the south-west of the historic city of Toledo is the museum Victorio Macho (Royal Foundation of Art) that harbours interesting work of sculptor Victorio Macho (1987-1966) who worked in Spain and (1936-1952) in South America. His figures are often heroic, while expressing character.

Visit this museum! We had been aware of it; it was on our list of possible things to do. But we did not go there intentionally. We stumbled upon it after visiting the nearby Monastery of San Juan de Los Reyes and the old synagogue...More

With a range of places to visit in Toledo and this not being one of the 'pulsera' (tourist bracelet) sites we were only marginally tempted to pay to go in to this museum. What persuaded us was an impressive sculpture in a garden that we...More

A small museum dedicated to human body, movement and emotions. Not your classic exhibition but most definitely worth visiting if you are in Toledo.

If you like modern or classical sculpture , you'll love this museum Many of the works are reminiscent of the French sculptor Aristide Maillol, other are similar to Paul Manship, still others are a style all their own. We particularly liked the sculptures made from...More

While the museum has some great art and an amazing view I wish we had spent out time on something else. But if you're in the area and have an extra 30 minutes +/- it's a great place to sit, rest and stare at a...More

Went here as part of a day trip tour from Madrid. It's a nice little museum, but unless you are really interested in sculpture, you won't be missing much.
