My wife and I love visiting "Old Towns", the original sites in various cities throughout the world. Some have been allowed to decay, some have undergone or are undergoing various stages of restoration, some have been grandly preserved and restored. Toledo is a shining example...More

Realy a magnificint town. Wondering about its history is something you start doing the moment you see this town. Its more than just that. It is situated at a beautifull spot.

We had a day in Toledo, and it was a day well spent. Toledo is a wonderful old town, easy to walk around (no need for a car or bus) and full of treasures. The town is known for its gold inlaid jewellery, but try...More

We spent around 5 hours here and did not get at all bored - well maybe a bit due to the huge number of churches! wear very good footwear as it is cobbles and uneven and hilly everywhere.

It was the icing of the cake after wondering in a charming city with interesting architecture & a mixture of religions & multiple eras. The city kept an evidence of each culture, the Jewish, Islamic & Christian. Nice.

You can easily get lost both physically and spiritually in a place like Toledo. If at all possible, spend the night. It's worth it to experience Toledo in the evening and early morning without the daytrippers. But if a daytrip is all you can arrange,...More

I enjoyed Toledo a lot, I never came here before but I should come back, since I didn't have enough time to visit all the interesting buildings in it. My recommendation here would be to check the cathedral's opening time and arrive some minutes before...More

Too much to do and see. Every corner is beautiful. Take your time and a history book or guide because there is too much to learn. Be ready to walk a lot, so take comfortable shoes, hydration and check the weather forecast before hand.

Toledo is a wonderful city - filled with winding streets, cobblestone-lined alleyways, and amazing architecture. It's one of those places that is easy to get lost - actually it's one of those places you wouldn't mind getting lost. It's just so beautiful. Definitely a place...More

If a day trip, spend all day, it’s amazing! We took the train from Madrid and it was our favourite spot in Spain. Spent three weeks in Spain and Toledo was the highlight.
