Moving walkways and a free funicular -- it doesn't get much easier than this to take in the impressive panorama of downtown Santander and the Cantabrian Sea. Once at the top, and after taking all those pictures, it's worth spending a little more time exploring...More

This was fun. Its not a very steep street but it's a novelty taking the moving walkways and the Short funicular to the top. Just walk through the archway of Santander Bank and its straight uphill from there.

Nestled away in the narrow streets above the town centre but worth finding. Only the Spanish would think of a combination of escalators and a short funicular to ascend the hillside but it’s clearly appreciated by the locals and the views going up and from...More

Calle Rio de la Pila. It’s really central. We used the Santander Bank building as a guide, from there it’s more or less one road.
