Banana Plantation and a Farm by Tuk Tuk from Costa Adeje

41 reviews
The Caldera del Rey is a vast, shallow crater with banana groves and protected parkland—one of Tenerife’s natural highlights—but it lies a bit beyond walking distance from nearby towns. This tour takes you from Puerto Colon to the Caldera del Rey monument via tuk-tuk—a small, fun three-wheeled vehicle—for a guided walk in a banana plantation and farm. End the tour with a stop in a farm shop for a smoothie made with local products.

We went there for dinner. The restaurant is very cozy and we enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. The owner/patron/waitress/ chef was the nicest person and she absolutely made sure we had a great time. There was no printed menu, but she was making some suggestions asking for any dietary restrictions. So as a starter we had a salat with cucumbers and banana (might sound strange, but was delicious) and crispy manioc with egg and as main we had a variety of African style vegetables (spinach, cauliflower, lentils etc) with bread to share plus some camel meat balls for my boyfriend. It was a perfect evening and we definitely would go again. So don't miss!

Went to La Chata on the recommendations of other trip advisor's The lady that owns the place is called Susana and speaks good English. She could not be more helpful and obliging offering to open early in the evening so that we could eat earlier. The food & drink we had was excellent [ sorry no picture ] the prices were VERY reasonable. If you are in Tenerife go visit you will not regret it. The best meal we had while in Tenerife.
