We’re a week into a family holiday at Playa de la Arena, and pleasantly surprised. Upon first arriving, I was a bit worried that the town was too similar to some of the bigger tourist towns further south, but now we've looked around there's a...More

Spent the day here away from the hotel. The black sand is amazing (but gets everywhere 😁) beach is very clean, an attendant always going around looking for litter. You can hire beds and parasols for €3 each for the day. Lifeguards on duty -...More

Nice place, lovely beach, very close to Los Gigantes. Plenty of shops and restaurants. A bit out of the noisy areas, but just right for us.

I would recommend staying at this end of Tenerife. Much quieter, great range of bars and restaurants.

Prob ideal for older folk, everything closed by midnight. Very hilly, small beach about 1 mile away, taxis cheap, but again not much in the whole area

Relatively quiet, fairly flat with a picturesque black sandy beach, views of the mountains & the island of La Gomera. Full of excellent restaurants. We would definitely go again!

Been here several times and always found a parking spot right next to the beach. The waves here are always massive and mostly red flagged swimming. Lovely black sand. Supermarket opposite the beach. 20c to use the toilet facilities which are good and well attended....More
