We were a group of 30 persons from Sweden going on a business trip to Gran Canaria for a couple of days in February/March this year. I found Handmade Tours on Tripadvisor and sent an e-mail to check if it was possible to arrange a tour for our group. I received a really quick answer from Masequera that this was possible and also some questions about what we had in mind. For us it was important to include a visit to Arehucas Rhum Distillery which Masequera usually does not include. A day later we had a proposition about a tour included a visit to the coffee plantation and the rhum distillery, followed by lunch and a visit to a vineyard with tasting included of course. We had a magnificent day, the bus that took us around was good and the driver was skilled which was definitely needed in the village where the coffee plantation was located. Masequera handles the English language without problem and guided us professionally during our tour. We felt really welcome at all our stops and it was nice to meet the engaged producers of especially coffee and wine. The lunch was a great choice with local food that was genuine and tasty. Besides from the one day tour mentioned above, Handmade Tours and Masequera helped us with bookings of several dinners and lunch at different restaurants, arranged transport to Puerto Rico and also a nice evening sightseeing tour by Tuk Tuk. The reason for asking Handmade Tours to help out with these bookings was that I realized that it was really difficult to get in contact with the restaurants and other services from distance and when I finally got in touch with some of them there were a lot of language issues. When I started to e-mail with Masequera I directly noticed that this was a person with extremely high level of service that I can put my trust in. The booked restaurants were all high class and they were also prepared to meet some special demands like vegan, vegetarian and allergies without any problems. I can highly recommend Handmade Tours and their ability to arrange tailor made tours and all kind of travel arrangements. Extremely high service level, English language skills, quick replies and feedback continually, good recommendations and a great ability to listen to the customer.

A big group is always a challenge as you have to make sure everyone is having a good time and everything is happening as organized. On top of that I'm happy to share we all had a very fun time including me. Thank you for trusting me and considering Gran Canaria for your business trip. Thank you so much to all of you!

I decided to treat my boyfriend to a private tour for his birthday, it was also a great treat for me! We travelled along the North Coast towards Agaete, a very pretty village, onto Los Castanos to the Coffee Plantation, were we stopped to roast beans, and sample the coffee and home made biscuits. We met the owner and had a tour of the plantation. After this we made our way up the valley for some wine and cheese tasting at Bodega Laja, it was a small family run vineyard. The wine was very delicious, we bought a bottle of the Rose which was very good. We travelled further up the valley to a fabulous viewpoint. On the way home we went to a cheese makers shop/cafe in Santa Maria, where by chance he was in the shop with his wife, so was nice to see them and to taste the cheeses with some more local wine. Masequera was excellent, friendly, chatty and she knows a lot about her subject, artisan producers and the nature and conservation that is so important for the island. If you are looking for something away from the normal tourist hot-spots that is informative and relaxed I would recommend this.

We are very happy to have made a reservation with Hand made tours, e.g. Mase; it proved to be great. We have seen so many things which we would have missed going on our own, like the little cheese 'factory', where Pino and her daughter explained us the process of cheese making. Then on it went for a coffee with products from the hidden bakery, where beautiful buns came out of the old oven. The stop at the second largest caldera of the island made us feel small... what an impressive landscape. At the last stop, at the vineyard and - not unimportantly - the wine tasting, Mase took care of us herself, as Anna was busy with other guests. She did a great job, can start working there without a problem. It was a wonderful day with great views along the way and loads of information about the island! Would book again any time! Thanks, Mase!

I would recommend this tour. An excellent day at the coffee plantation and vineyard. Our guide was the brilliant and we were treated like friends. We learnt a lot about the island and had lots of laughs. Would recommend this to anyone who loves coffee and wine.
