Apparently everything is from the late 19th century/early 20th century in a colonial style, but it is nevertheless impressive and the best casco historico of the area.

It was not in our list of places to visit, however while going to Firgas we noticed the big cathedral from the motorway so we opted to stop for quick visit. It was worth it.

Very nice place to visit, nice buildings, restaurants and shops. This feels like real Gran Canaria. Ofcourse one must visit the rum factory!!!
