In the square near the cathedral this is a lovely old building and well worth seeing. Good cafes just opposite here. Really busy when we visited.

This is a magnificent building and if you look up at the roof you will see the most amazing wood carvings. In addition the lobby of this building houses the large religious ceremonial puppets which include devils and a dragon.

The plaza behind the Ajuntament is lovely and has a very nice hotel and café. Given its proximity to the rest of the attractions on the island, I'd highly suggest checking this spot out before continuing to the beach or for tapas in Santa Catalina.

The magnificent, ornate building dominates the square. It has a palpable presence, befitting a capital city. I have not seen the interior though.

Beautiful building in a very nice square with a olive tree hundred years old. Just next to Palau Reial and 200m from the Cathedral and Almudaina palace.

Continuing our walk we found another 'square' at the end of the alleyway (lane). Nice flags, nice architecture & we were having nice weather too. Nothing to keep anyone here too long.

I think is not a big attraction, but a great meeting or orientation point in the heart of the city. Big square lot of good people :)
