It’s a little over rated in that the building is in ok state of repair and painted with interesting insets it’s otherwise somewhat average.

There appears to be many different Modernista styles that are represented in buildings throughout Palma. This one was inspired by the romantic style qualities of the Middle Period in history. I've read that the designer of the façade was Bartolomé Ferrà Perelló. He used tiles from the “La Roqueta” factory to bring out the qualities of that period. There are large tiles with painted scenes of women at the top of the building, but it was the intricate detail of the tiles with the butterflies and eagles that drew me in. I wish I knew a little bit more about those beautiful hand painted scenes. Each scene appears to tell a story. It does make you wonder. It's just a beautiful architectural building that's worth a look while you're walking through the beautiful Placa de Quadrado.…
