Beyond the Iberian peninsula most people are rather uncomfortable about bullfighting, which makes a visit to this venerable bullring with attached museums all the more fascinating – not least for those who would never consider attending a bullfight. An inspection of the ring, and the backstage facilities that sustain it (the Plaza, of necessity, has its own ER) is a good counterpoint to a browse around a museum which is full of artwork and costumes celebrating the skill of the matador together with the mounted heads of their animal nemeses. Go with an open mind and you’ll leave with a much better understanding of bullfighting’s place in the life and culture of Andalucía.

Unsure how to feel about the visit. Impressive arena but the tour talks you through the experience of what they call an art. Not all would agree!

Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone whose has never seen a bullfight ring which we had not. Very good audio tour although there could be better signs to indicate which “number” you are supposed to be listening. Did a very good job describing history...More

Unfortunately there wasn’t any fights when we were in Seville, but the arena and the surroundings are very nice locations for good photos. Very scenic.

We were lucky enough to see a Novillos during our time in Seville. It was exciting and memorable. My in-laws left after the second of six fights because they couldn't bear watching the bulls die. Nevertheless, we're still thankful to have experienced this part of...More

Although a tour is a must and pre booking is advisable we did find the whole experience very hurried. The whole visit lasts less than an hour and we would have liked to spend more time in the museum. Audio guide is informative but the...More

It is a must see trying to understand the Spanish soul. A very nice museum, and the huge arena...really impressive experience. Please try to book in advance. The tour lasts 45 minutes. It would be better if you could see a bullfight (they are still...More

For the first time me and my friend saw La Fiesta live. We had ticket in sun which wasn't that bad (cost 17 euro). In a shadow tickets costed 40+ euro but there was much better view on performance. (Don't go there if you don't...More

Took the guided tour. Run every 20 minutes. Handsets in each language. Lasts about 45 minutes. Very interesting. Bought tickets for Bullfight in the evening. Was a Novillos fight for Young Matadors. There were loads of tickets on sale of all grades. Ring was 50%...More

There weren't any bull fights scheduled for the dates of our visit to Seville so we decided to take the very informative audio guided tour through the museum and into the ring. The next best thing to seeing a fight!

You can do a tour of the museum here without seeing a bullfight. We did the tour and it was interesting. My only question is whether by paying for the tour of the museum were we supporting bullfighting? The tour is not... More

Hello! I'm Afraid you are mistaking the Spanish arena, without any "tent" ( so, in summer you have to know if you will buy your ticket "ombra" or "sole", shade or sun - the first one being more expensive), and the roman... More

As already mentioned it takes about an hour but well worth the visit. We just turned up on the day and had to wait about 20 mins for the next tour but it wasn't a problem.
