The oldest bullring in Spain, dating from 1761, and still privately (rather than municiaplly) owned. In 1983 it was declared a Historical Art Monument. Bullfights still take place here during the spring and summer months

Spent 8€ to join a large, crowded tour. When the audio guides worked [mine did not and, by the third, handset I just gave up and walked around] they were confusing. Besides the ring, there really isn't much interesting to see except some Goya etchings...More

Easy to get to from the heart of Seville. Recommend buying tickets online-I only had a 20 minute wait for an English tour but saw others leave because there was limited seating in the 'waiting area'. You also get an audio tour along with your...More

While I find the sport/art of bullfighting disturbing for all kinds of reasons, this museum whose purpose is to glorify it as art and practice is an extremely well-organized and curated ode to the art. Paintings, sculpture, sparkly matadors' tight pants and short jackets, all...More

I posted my review in Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza, as both refer to the same venue, ie the bullring museum.

Whatever your viewpoint on bullfighting you should still come and see the Museo Taurino for sure. Some amazing and jaw-dropping sights! A fascinating experience and interesting history too.

This small but interesting Museum is located within the Bull Ring itself and the only way to see it is unfortunately to take part in one of the regular guided tours. Like most I am not a fan of killing animals for any kind of...More

I thought the tour of the bull fighting museum and arena was pretty good-the audio guide and real guide worked quite well I just thought the tour group was too large to fully appreciate the museum. I loved being able to wander the centre of...More

I'm not sure whether the museum have changed their arrangements, but we did the tour on 27th Sep and were given an audio handset to listen to as we went round. This worked quite well when compared to previous reviewers comments about a guide talking...More

My review of the Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza touched on this a little, but the museum and guided tour is something I would recommend. The tour takes about an hour or an hour and a half and the guide explains everything in Spanish,...More

Their website should be more helpful than my summer memory but we arrived late morning / early afternoon and there was no problem in buying tickets for the tour. Certainly worth visiting and highly recommended
