This smallish alpine national park is close to Granada and is perfect for a getaway from the crowds. It's about a 20 minute drive, and as I didn't have a car I took an Uber. There is a staffed visitors centre with maps available for various walks. There are also picnic areas. I chose a 5 km circuit but there are longer and shorter options. My trail led up to the top of Cruz de Viznar, offering amazing views for miles, and pretty pine forest with rosemary, thyme and broome below and limestone outcrops.
