This museo is very interesting. We were surprised by it...decor, cafe, etc were lovely and staff were friendly and helpful. Great collections...a hidden gem...near Picasso's but go here if you have to pick one!

The museum has a very interesting collection that is also a good way to educate yourself about the history of Andalusia and the way of life in the previous centuries. A not to miss museum.

If you are into art and history this is an extraordinary well laid out gallery to visit. There is plenty of space to observe all the historical art with so many contrasts.

Seeing queues to Picasso's museum earlier, opted not go. A day later we've randomly stumbled upon this museum and gave it a go. It is very well kept and organised. In approximately 90 minutes that we were at the museum we've seen more staff then...More

As many said, Malaga has so many artistic places and this museum is one of the best. We got a chance to see Mediterranean art exhibition which was truly amazing. Free entrance is possible on Sunday from 17:00, be prepared to wait in line 🙂

Malaga offers a lot for art lovers! We visited the Mediterranean art exhibition, which was rather interesting. The building is beautiful and offer nice shade from the hot sun!

We've seen better museums but we really enjoyed the visit because the house which hosted the museum was beautiful and had a very pleasant atmosphere. Mediteraneo exhibition is definitely worth a visit.

Excellent collection that brilliantly contrasts real with stereotypical Romantic images of Spain and Andalucia. The temporary Mediterranean exhibition, showing works by Spanish and French artists was particularly well-considered and worthy of special mention. Big thank you!

This museum houses the collection of Carmen Thyssen. The permanent collection is certainly worth a visit - especially the many Andalusian paintings, also the Sorolla paintings. The temporary exhibition is always really good too . The current exhibition is called Mediterraneo and displays works by...More

This museum has a main collection of Spanish art from the late 1800:s and early 1900:s mainly. The paintings are so beautiful, you get the feeling that you could walk straight into the scenes and you can imagine what the artist saw. Easily overlooked. One...More

The museum is on a pedestrian street in the old town. I don't know about parking as we visited on foot, sorry. It is a much smaller museum than the one in Madrid but worth a visit. Have a lovely trip...
