Beautiful and well cared for gardens (perfect for instagram). We came during winter in the morning and the gardens weren't overcrowded at all. However we did notice a large queue on our way out, so I recommend visiting in the morning.

As with many Spanish buildings, this is a very historic building as it is the Fortress of the Christian Monarchs, Ferdinand and Isabella, from which they planned to take back for the Christians the final Moorish stronghold of Granada. The HQ of the Inquisition was...More

This place is well worth a visit, less so for the fortifications but more for the gardens. There is a succession of water gardens and orange tree filled courtyards that are an absolute delight. In addition, you get to go up the main tower, visit...More

The Alcazar itself is nice and admission very reasonable, but the star attraction are the adjoining gardens and fountains. The long pools and fountains are bordered by orange trees, manicured poplars, topiaries.....very beautiful landscape.

There is no audio guides, the employees are rude, the structure is deteriorating and vandalized, the information in the €3 pamphlet is limited, and to be honest it smells like open sewer. The garden is the highlight and it’s a mess. You have one focal...More

Although the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos is nowhere near as spectacular as the Alhambra in Granada or the Alcazar Real in Seville, it is still worth a visit if you have seen the Mezquita and have time remaining in Cordoba. The gardens and fountains...More

Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos is the palace where the kings came to stay when they visited Cordoba. The grounds make for a pleasant stroll.

The palace interior is good but not amazing. However, we loved the gardens and thoroughly enjoyed wandering around them on a bright, chilly day

We read comments about this place before coming and did not expect much about this place. The only thing we like is garden, nothing else. We felt regret that we should rather spend more time at a decent restaurant than coming to this alcazar. You...More

Pretty gardens & water features & you can climb up the tower for good views. As others have said, nothing overly spectacular but a lovely place to wander through

There was no queue when we were there in the morning. I saw more people in the afternoon, but nothing compare to Seville. I don't think you need to pre book.
