Yes, there’s an entrance fee, but it’s worth it. The cathedral itself is huge - a bit like the Tardis - much bigger than you’d ever imagine from the outside. It’s also awe-inspiring-both at a religious level, but also in its tributes to the near-10,000...More

The best about this is the inner yard. It's straight out of game of thrones or many other. The cathedral itself is quite normal but take notice of all the detailed and not extravaganza roofing. That's where the real beauty lies. I think it's a...More

A very peaceful setting inside and outside courtyard. Has an interesting collection of religious paintings and artifacts in side...More

You have to pay an entrance fee, which includes an audio guide. Those aged 65+ get in for a reduced rate. The cathedral is more like a castle from the outside. Worth visiting if you have time in Almeria.

We went this week to visit the cathedral and it was lovely! I very pretty place which has had a lot of time and care dedicated to maintaining it. I would highly recommend going, the €5 is worth it and includes an audio tour.

Very interesting history and good narrative to accompany you on the way round. The construction is also interesting both in style and purpose.

It's well worth half hour of the time to drop in here, the entrance is NOT in the Plaza you have to walk around the side street to the new main entrance, so don't just walk away thinking it's closed as we nearly did.
