We called at the Cathedral on a day trip to Almeria. As practicing catholics we wanted to pray and assumed that there would be a small area to be able to do this. We were told that if you ‘don’t pay, you don’t pray’. Of...More
This is a beautiful, well maintained cathedral. Contrary to other reviews I found the audio guide (included in entrance fee) terrible. It focused primarily on architecture and art with some reference to its place in the local religious hierarchy. It did not give much information,...More
Not at all religious , but this is such a beautiful building it would be a shame to miss. The audio guide is very relaxed and encourages a gentle walk around , allow an hour to relax in the cool interior.
A really good hour spent here. 5 euros to enter but it includes an audio guide in multiple languages. Interesting lay-out and history. Would recommend for an afternoon to get out of the sun for a while and learn some history.

the cathedral is a unique piece of history, there must be thousands and thousands of interesting (and great) stories to tell, there must be even more interesting details and little things to point out so that it get's the exiting tour it deserves !...More
5 euro entrance. Programmed in your own language a telephone type guide. Found it a little uncomfortable but tried to listen to them all. The place is amazing with ornate, historical and traditional Spanish/Moorish artifacts. A must see.
