A bit difficult to know your way around.. should be clearer with numbers, for instance. Not overwhelmingly interesting for a foreigner. Would be impossible for only english speakning people as the most information was in german and danish.

The slavery exhibit was especially good as was the section on the rum trade and it’s importance to Flensburg‘s development. Wish someone would address Flensburg and WWII.

The museum is very relevant and interesting with it's focus on local maritime history. The areas history is indeed interesting as a historic trading center (a so called Hansestad). Audio guided tours available. Entry fee reasonable. Wheelchair friendly.
