The "Festung Mark" is a lovely location in the style of an old fortification. Lots of different events are being held here, from student parties to middle age fairs. Entrance price varies from event to event.

There has not been left much from the historic Festung, but the
engagement of the people workin there is remarkable. Great for concerts!

Nice sights to see whilst walking around Magdeburg. Lots of statues all through the city with history attached.

We were there for a staff event with around 200 people. A great location, but unfortunately the catering was a complete disaster. When I was standing at the buffet at the end of the "first wave", I noticed that there was almost nothing left. I have never seen such an empty buffet. Even the bowls of various dips were empty. They then tried to refill them later, but this did not work in a way that side dishes and main components were available at the same time. And the quality was also sometimes abysmal. I'll take the mini classic burgers as an example, which were on the buffet and later returned. A mini bun (not homemade, but OK) in combination with a mini slice of cucumber, some burger sauce and a minced meat paddy for which the cow died twice. First at the butcher and later again at the chef. There were no spices either. Around midnight, cheese and cold cuts platters arrived again, butter was also included, only bread was no longer available, which was probably completely "sacrificed" at the evening buffet. The bar and the drinks service worked, so you could drink your way through the food disaster.
