We have just returned from a week long cruise along the Rhine & Moselle rivers on board MV Prinses Christina. The scenery was fantastic of course, but I really wanted to review the Prinses Christina as when we booked our holiday I couldn't really find...More

The castles were my favorite. They're very neat and it's great to be well informed about them before going too, makes things more interesting. I love the little town there too. In general it's an amazing place.

Took a Rhine cruise through the UNESCO designated heritage part of the Rhine Valley. The entire section is dotted with medieval castles and churches. A great way to see the historical area.

We were on a Rhine River cruise, and I think this is the best way to see all the Rhine castles, especially with an Irish Coffee in hand to ward off the dank weather. Both left and right banks of the Rhine are dotted with...More

Travelling between Koblenz and Rudesheim (or Bingen) on a river cruise is amazing. Lots of castles and churches and vineyards at impossible angles coming down to the river. The Lorelei is somewhat over-rated, but has to be seen.

One of my favorite places to visit. We love to walk along the shopping area picking up souvenirs. Stop and eat at one of the restaurants overlooking the Rhine River. The views are so beautiful. I usually go in the off season as during the...More

This area of the Rhine is breathtaking in every way; the boat ride from Rudesheim to certain points/villages is worth the trip; get off the boat then take the train back to Rudesheim--gorgeous. You could burn 2-3 weeks exploring all the castles, culture, and restaurants...More

This review is for the Rhine Gorge so I won’t discuss any others parts of our recent trip. First of all, sailing the Rhine is beautiful but not necessarily the best way to experience Germany or any of the quaint towns. On a river cruise...More

I've heard of the Rhine River Castles for years but had no idea that they were essentially packed into a relatively short area of the river. The contrast between a ruined one on the left next to an occupied one on the right was astonishing,...More

Rüdesheim is a small town but perfect for one night. I cruised the Rhine gorge on a cruise ship and wished I could be driving it instead. A 3 hour cruise is not a bad idea but the villages look so quaint as you pass that you... More
