Wonderful medieval church, much of which, especially the West end, was rebuilt after 1945. Much brighter than most medieval cathedrals. Still very much an active church and it shows. Try to be there before the top of the hour to get the full benefit of...More

It is hard to believe that some reviewers did not experience awe when visiting this miraculous structure. Considering the time it was built and it's history I felt like I was in one of Follet's cathedrals in his terrific book, "Pillars of the Earth".

This cathedral has a relatively sober interior. There are some intersting sculptures when you make the walk around but overall I have seen nicer churches than this one.

Made a pitstop enroute to Cologne in Munster. Love the quaint surrounding and vibe, The cathedral interior spacious and airy. Entry is free.

It is one of the best Cathedrals that I visited. Moderate size, very minimalist and highly spiritual. Once you go there, you don't want to leave!

Don't miss the stained glass windows by Georg Meistermann in the apsidal chapels of the choir, and the huge St Christopher sculpture in the nave.

The current St. Paul's Cathedral was constructed in gothic style in the 13th century and stands right in the heart of Münster. The church was partly destroyed during WWII, rebuilt in the decade after the war and finally restored in the beginning of this century....More

There were five Christmas markets to enjoy, despite the snow. We bought many small gifts peculiar to the area. We also heard a brilliant organ recital in the Cathedral.
