This is right by the Rhine. Plenty of bars and eateries. You must try the Killepitsch - but be warned its strong! Also Alt Bier is the local beverage: also very good.

Lots of other stuff such as bars and markets nearby so worth a visit to this area. 7.5 euros each for 4 or was it 5 times round. I’ll state the obvious by saying that there is a nice view from the top. We visited...More

Central square bordering the Rhine. Good access to local bars, restaurants and clubs. Ferris wheel lit up at night. Costs €7.50 for five rotations - pods which can seat 8 enjoy great views.

A square that once sat in front of the former castle. Today only the castle tower remains, known as Schlossturm, which now serves as a maritime museum.

This square is not the highlight of Düsseldorf. Maybe it is in the winter during the Christmas markets but now in the summer to me it was a little boring. Of course it has a beautiful Schlossturm and it is next to the water but...More

Part of the old castle, the beautiful plaza still has the old tower which now houses a museum. The square is now a busy public space bustling with restaurants, cafes and bars and is a great way to spend a lazy afternoon.
