After visiting the Gross St Martin area, we walked to find St Albans to view the church that was never rebuilt with the memorial of grieving parental statue and gate stating “prisoners of war are still waiting to return home”. Interesting & moving to see...More

came upon this by chance as we walked around the city. gate is locked so you can't go in, but there's not much to see inside anyway. a sculpture with an explanation, a ruined building and that's it.

You will not be sorry for making any type of journey to see these churches. This one in particular has so much character that it is indescribable.

We discovered this old relic of a church, purely by accident when we exited the nearby parking garage, downtown Cologne. The free-standing arches and empty windows provided an eerie but majestic look into a bygone era.
