An interesting step back in time
Nov 2018
We were taken here while on a cruise excursion. It was interesting and well-maintained. We enjoyed this glimpse of history.

Another Church
Aug 2019
Probably the main architectural aspect of this town. While it is quaint and has a very strong WW11 history it is not a highlight.

Nice church

A very nice church in a really nice town. This imposing building in the middle of the town is well worth a visit. Very nice to look around the inside.

19 Century Church
Jul 2019 • Couples
It's a medium size church back off the waterway and most of the crowds. It's a pretty church, and worth a visit if in the area. If you are tired of churches this one can be bypassed.

Very Historic Church Structure...........
Jul 2019 • Couples
This was a very interesting church to visit as it is not like a lot of European churches that we have previously visited. Built in the middle of the 19th century, this building replaced previous buildings dating back to the 13th century.

There is a naval presence within the church and it is quite delightful in that it is very modest . The organ is an eye catcher as is the old clock which dates back to about the 16th century.

Well worth a visit if you are in Warnemunde.

Absolutely delightful

A fantastic cheer a d the 3 story organ is a mechanical feat of 16th century engineering! Great celestial clock from the 16th century that is still accurately working

Interesting church with a bit of history
Sep 2018 • Couples
We stopped in while visiting the town while in the area on a cruise. This is a nice church in a quiet square. The area on the altar where you can light a candle is shaped like a boat, and when there are a lot of candles lit it becomes quite interesting to see. It is small and quiet - but worth a stop

Lovely town
Oct 2018 • Friends
The cruise ships list this as a Berlin stop, arrive at 7 am and depart at 10 pm. Well Berlin is about 3 plus hours away - that is to over 6 hours on a train without air conditioning. It was 27 degrees so we opted to stay in Warnemunde/Rostock area. Warnemunde is a lovely little town to poke about, then took the train to Rostock for lunch and a great boat ride back to Warnemunde.

We had a fantastic day while those who ventured into Berlin were hot, caught in traffic and very tired from the over 6 hours on a hot train. If you want to see Berlin do it by flying there not from the cruise ship.

Caution if you do go into Berlin -GO WITH SHIP TOUR as if you do it on your own and something happens like a train break down the ship leave without you but if with their tour the ship waits.

Quaint Little Place
Sep 2018 • Friends
WarneMunde near Rostock was our first port of call after we left Copenhagen on Norwegian Breakaway Cruise Ship. A very picturesque and quaint township. With old world charm, streets are lined up with pubs, shops and eateries. In the city centre is a majestic church. A stroll in the streets and savouring local beer in the roadside pubs is a great experience. There’s a super market for buying chocolates and cheese if you like at a very reasonable price. The jackets and caps offered in the roadside shops are value for money...

Old Germany

Imposing structure reminds you of the history of Germany ( the Home of Martin Luther) with the modern town just blocks away. Easy walk from the cruise terminal. Narrative available in several languages.
