White Sand beach and blue striped Strandkorbe...
Aug 2021
Warnemunde beach is one of the most popular beaches on the Baltic Sea coast.
Is huge (more than 10 kilometers long) and wide....dotted with beautiful blue striped "strandkorbe"- a kind of deckchairs.

The water is chilly but safe for swimming. The beach is ideal for water sports like windsurfing and kite boarding due to the strong sea breezes.

Great place to lay out relaxing or watch the sunset....

there is a beautiful port, great restaurants and many things to look at. It is a real seaside resort with niche small hotels, greatshops and a lot of entertainment

A lovely beach, sandy and an active Baltic sea. Fantastic for walks or just chilling. Has a charm all of it's own and the sun hits it in interesting ways. Peaceful and relaxing but close to everything.

nice walk
Aug 2019
on a recent cruise around the Baltic we stopped in Warnemunde, didn't know what to expect as it's never been on our tourist radar. but we left the ship and walked through the town to the beach. got sand between our toes, had a coffee, people watched. sort of a nothing day BUT WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR VISIT.

one minor downside, we have travelled extensively in many foreign lands and everywhere has signs in multiple languages, not here......... you do need to be able to speak/read/understand some German.

German seaside town
Aug 2019 • Couples
Combination of a seaside town and fishing port. Really enjoyed walking along the Alter Strom canal looking at the shops, boats and restaurants. There is a lovely lighthouse you can climb for the view and a long esplanade to stroll along on a sunny day. It has a peaceful and relaxing feel like all good seaside resorts

We visited the beach on a fantastic day. It’s a really nice beach and very long. The beach has many shops along its length and plenty of places to eat.

Very popular beach
Jul 2019 • Couples
Mid morning on a sunny day and the lovely beach was already very busy. We walked to the end of the prom and then carried along the path above the beach. The beach just kept going on and on.

A little warning, if you walk far enough from the town then you hit the nudist section of the beach.

There are lots of toilets along the beach - all of which i think you have to pay for.

We visited one further along the beach near a popular bus stop. Use the family one as the normal one is not very big. It cost 1/2 Euro. If you are quick you can grab the door after someone leaves. Make sure you have some toilet paper on you just in case.
