Great place to take a adventure with the kids plus a good walk. Just takes you back in time when the tunnels were used all the time. Now only one tunnel gets used as the other one being repaired.

Travel in a restored elevator big enough to take a truck. Interesting tiling. Information boards on the far side, overlooking the river, explaining the importance of the tunnel when it was first constructed.

Fun for sightseeing - I recommend it. Still some construction in parts. Good for the walk. Skip the crowds and use the lift

Good walking tunnel. Nice walk to the other side of Hamburg. Under the river Elbe. Old tunnel gives some history.
