The fella that served us was very knowledgable about the whisky. My brother is a massive whisky fan and was impressed with the range - not the quantity of different brands they had but the variations of the brands. They had whiskys we'd heard of...More
Very friendly place. We'll skip over the fact that it had an identity crisis. "Union Jack"? A Scottish pub with no Scottish beer? Guinness and Kilkenny ads everywhere? The guy had a knowledge of whiskies I have never seen outside Scotland. My partner knows a...More
Good place to visit with very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable staff.
Good range of beers and amazing range of whiskeys (almost 1000 different bottles according to the barman!!).
Nice atmosphere inside.
They also serve food here but I can't comment as we didn't...More
Lovely bar staff and customers. Huge range of whisky. But also Newcastle brown ale on tap! Guinness only bettered by Dublin. If you want a touch of UK or Ireland then go. Union Jack thing is a German generalisation not a political thing!
A lovely warm summer evening spent on the terrace of this fabulous pub with great service by the landlord, who was rushed off his feet due to the warm weather which brought out the guests in droves. He coped magnificently and deserves his Feierabend. Very...More
This pub has a troumendous collection of whisky from all over the world. The manager gave info and explenation, and made good suggestions as well. Can be a bit pricy, but than again they have cheap drinks on the menu, if you bring non-enthousiast with...More
The Union Jack Whskey Pub is a nice and cozy pub in Charlottenburg, with a bartender Leo who has in-depth knowledge of the different whiskeys he serves. He claims to have over 800 different types of scotch in the pub, and hopes to hit a...More
I had planned to have some self whisky tasting when I was visiting Berlin and found couple of whisky bars online, checked their websites, locations reviews etc. and decided to go to this one, poor me. OK it was Easter Monday but it was mentioned...More
Being a fan of Irish whiskey and staying at a hotel that had none (and overpriced Scotch) I was quite happy to find this place one night. Combine a knowledgeable bartender with a great selection of Whiskey and a classic pub environment you have the...More
Nice compact old fashioned pub with freindly staff in a quiet area of the city. One nice German beer on tap and a few British/Irish beers. The main attraction is the fantastic selection of 600+ open whiskies. They range from the usual supermarket single malts...More
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop
down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
