House by the Nicholaikirche. Lovely furniture - and they want to buy a contemporaneous bureau, so stick a few Euros in the box. Nice family paintings, some of them top notch. Atmospheric place; friendly staff.

Good to visit, if you are eager to face German history. It has nothing especial, but has somethings worthy to visit. Make sure you are planning to visit it when it is free!

The only original building in the Nikolai district. All the others around are replicas, built after WW II. There is a very good museum inside.

It's a donation only to visit this old home. We found it most worthwhile and its near other sites you'll be visiting in the old Berlin area.

Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights
like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum

city's most expensive places to live. It is here the
oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence
of some significant transformations, as well. The
gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets
between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given
