We went as part of a tour. The site has its own guides and worth the expense to get the full affect of the castle and abbey. A very unique place in history.

This Palace is totally worth seeking out. Yes, there are beautiful rooms and furnishings, but the experience is heightened by the fact that the Prince and his family still live here. Weddings and parties still happen in the Ballroom; indeed our group entered the familt...More

Beautiful private Christmas Market with a variety of booths showcasing handmade gifts. Opportunities to sit inside to enjoy a hot Gluwein or Espresso. Children loved the Camels and the music.

This is a very interesting palace with a lot to see with a guided tour. The cloisters that the palace was constructed above are accessible and really worth a visit.

We took a river cruise on the Danube in early December and visited many Christmas Markets. I have to say the one at Thur and Taxis was the best. Although all of the other markets had wonderful "goodies", I found the market here very quaint,...More

We visited this palace while on a Tauck river boat cruise. Fortunately, Tauck had arranged for English speaking guides. Our guide was excellent. The owners live in the palace which made it more interesting. The rooms shown are the over-the-top type extravagance. We were there...More
