This is a town you must see. Beautiful place between three rivers: Danube, Inn and Ilz. The best view is in the place where Inn and Danube meet, you can see "white water" of Inn flowing next to "dark water" of Danube. Looks brilliant! Over...More

This is a long walk up stairs if you are up for the challenge and the views otherwise catch the shuttle from Passau Rathaus or taxi. The museum is very thorough in its exhibits detailing the history of Passau and the fortress. Very interesting, take...More

It is the former residence/fort of Arch-prince Bishop and we went up for excellent view. Take small bus from Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) and it costs € 3 round trip. If you can walk downhill it is even better.

Construction of the Fort & Castle began in the early 1200s. The main Bishop's Residence dates to 1499. Today, Oberhaus is the City's Historical Museum (with most displays offering an English description). From the fort, you have some of the fantastic views of the city...More

If in Passau, be sure to climb to this castle -- it is worth the effort to see the beautiful view of the confluence of three rivers.
