From this high vantage point, the city of Passau is seeing magnificently in the midst of the 3 rivers. A really nice way to spend the afternoon.

It wasn't expensive to get in, we had plans so couldn't visit for long. About a 20 minute walk up and 10 down. Lots of exhibits and nice views.

I'm 74 and walked from the river and it was quite an exhausting climb. Nice fortifications and great view from the top. The museum was terrible. Entering each exhibit room there was a description of the room's contents on the wall by the doorway in...More

We wished to get in the museum but we were struck by the view so we stayed outside just to relax and wait for a while.

The museum is pretty nice with some interactive parts. I learned several things for sure. The bad thing to me is that it's not decorated as a castle while in a castle... Cost 5€ the entrance.

I have been trying to find out how to get to this site and the different methods that are available. It hasn't been easy and is not on this site, if it is, it is hidden very well.

We really love going to a local museum that explains that particular town's history and relationship to the rest of the region. Oberhaus Museum is actually several museums in one place. There is even a museum dedicated to the exiled Germans that were deported from...More
