A beautiful old church both inside and out. This church has a wonderful little clock show at the noon bell with the bells chiming and the clock figures moving. A wonder of mechanical engineering if you think of the time in which this wonderful old...More

We ended up starting to walk there right at noon. As the bells started I remembered the clock had things that happened at noon, but we were 2 minutes away. Never fear! The clock motions lasted a full 5 minutes at least, so we were...More

This church is among the top three I would say but it is much smaller than the other two. It is very compact with almost the same breadth as width. It has a somber history in that it was built over the old synagogue after...More

The Frauenkirche stands on the eastern side of the main market. It was built between 1352 and 1362 in the form of a typical Gothic church and was decorated by high-quality sculptures. The church was transformed, between 1810 and 1816, to be of use to...More

Right on the central square in Nuremberg and beautiful architecture; even if you're short on time, walk slowly so you can get some great pictures.

Very central setting gives this church an advantage point. The church itself is quite pretty, even if not exceptional. Its main attraction is the clock work mechanism on the front displaying the veneration of the emperor (quite similar to the one in Prague)

We were unimpressed with this small and sort of ordinary church. Even the glockenspeil at noon daily was sort of dull. Very much a " is hat all there is".

The Frauenkirche is an important building in the old city of Nuremberg. It has a relatively plain interior to my mind. I would not recommend going to see it for its own sake but if you near by it is worth dropping in.

Located right on the main City square (Hauptmarkt). €2 entry fee. Another reconstructed bombed icon. Unfortunately we missed the noontime mechanical clock (Mannleinlaufen) - maybe we will come back to catch it when the Xmas Market is on!
