This is a must when you go to Munich - book one of the tours, it is really worth it! Total time you can spend there is at least 1/2 day, lot's of paths you can "wander around"...

We went up to viewing point (which sways a little on a windy day) and then had an amazing lunch at the cafe at the bottom - worth a mention as it was great food at reasonable prices.
