The collection is limited, but beautifully displayed and woth a visit. It suffers from not being exhibited in chronological order. A specific dynasty is represented in several places.

This museum is beautifully laid out so you walk through years of Egyptian history through its artefacts. There is lots of interesting information in English, and at least one interactive computer display. Staff are helpful if you find you are repeating galleries, although if you...More

I don't think this museum gets the attention it deserves. It is a wonderful collection of all things Egyptian in a new building. We were there 3 hours and that was not nearly enough. Easy to get to by tram.

If you love art and history, and especially if you're into Egyptian art then this museum is a must. You can either visit with an audio-guide or on your own. Personally I prefer going at my own pace, and read all the information which they...More

There are a lot of things that are spot-on with this museum. It has a subtle arrow effect on the floor to guide you around the various rooms of the exhibit, and most rooms have electronic kiosks that give you additional context in German or...More

We went on a Thursday. They didn't accept a credit card payment (they never tell you why or if there is a minimum amount) and insisted on cash. Think we had to pay 7 or 8 Euros each. Love Egyptian art and here, they were...More

For the people who likes Egyptian art and history, this is a perfect place. A calm atmosphere, you can walk and study every element, A was already 3 times, and I will go again :)

The audioguides were "high tech" sensing your location on the floor - but didn't work very well. They'd be better off with the old-fashioned numeric codes that you type into the device. The ineffective audioguides ruined the experience for us. The presentation was beautiful however.

This is the newest addition in the museums quarter in Munich. The entrance is designed to resemble the entrance into a pyramid. The layout of the museum leads you through the exhibited artefacts in constant awe of a world long gone.
