Like many of the churches in Munich, you can just walk in and take in the architecture and history. This church is another such church that is awesome to behold in its splendor.

The church is beautiful and the paintings are worth the trip. If you are very lucky to be there Sundays at 10 when the religious service starts, the experience is truly overwhelming. There are lots of concerts organized by the church, it is worth checking...More

Most folks stroll by Michaelskirche, which is a pity. Not large, and overwhelmed by the nearby Frauenkirche, Michaelskirche is a small but beautifully decorated church that is well worth a short visit.

This is the largest Renaissance church north of the Alps. Many members of the Bavarian royal family are interred here. This is a must see in Munich.

There is a moving solemnity in this church which was rebuilt after WWII. The lack of frescoes gives a slightly bland feeling and all the marble is of a similar variety. Nevertheless, this is well worth exploring especially if there is a special event taking...More

Another gorgeous church, this one right near Marienplatz. Take a few minutes, sit, and soak up the incredible architure and peaceful surroundings. The church is not as ornate as St. Peter’s but the painted ceilings are a site to behold.
