Franz Stuck lived between 1863 and 1928. Interesting L.C. Tiffany lived between l943 and l930, both having contributed so much to the development of art and design. I can not find information if they met. Stuck is known to be a major force in moving...More

The couple of rooms on display are beautiful and about 10 Franz Stuck's paintings. The coffee shop was pleasant if again a bit overpriced. I was staying in the center and took the S-Bahn. The museum was then a 10-15 minute walk from the station....More

This is a lovely little museum that was built by the artist around one hundred years ago, and decorated by him down to the last detail. My favourite room was the first main room you enter, a sort of living room/library style room, decorated like...More

The Villa only maintains 2/3 rooms of the original; they are absolutely beautiful but, unless you are very interested in Von Stuck, not worth going there on purpose as the visit is going to be very short and it's not that close to the center....More

Okay, I will admit that the temporary art installation was so awful it was funny, but the areas devoted to Stuck, a painter of some skill, were worth seeing. His whole house is an art project, heavy on Greco-Roman, and his paintings are quite lovely....More

Munich has some lovely art nouveau (judendstil, as it's known there) architecture. Stuck Villa is a must see. Simply amazing interior and photos of the villa under construction and in its heyday. In the tony Prinzregentenstrasse neighborhood, it's very close to that subway stop. Unless...More

Different type of small museum exhibiting items from "Franz von Stuck". We coincidentally bumped into that museum..Not over-crowded, boutique museum with a good cofee shop inside.

You would probably normally need about one hour to visit the museum and see the former home of the artist and sculptor Franz von Stuck, who was 34 when he commissioned the building of his residence in Munich. It is nice, but what I miss...More

There are couple of dark rooms inside you can look at, the rest is art of the concrete-philosophy/emperor's new clothes variety. Worth seeing for free maybe. If you like jugenstil go to Schwabing : look at the houses. Animillerstrasse 22 the most amazing Art Nouveau...More
