Love walking through Munich...never know who walked the same path as you did. So much history. Wonderful place to visit and soak the atmosphere.

There're the ultramodern museum of old palace (for free!) and infopoint with extremely helpful, friendly staff and a lot of materials about many locations in Bavaria. At least two reasons to not-missing it))

This is a very pleasant and peaceful courtyard. Away from the crowded touristy area. Look out for the "Monkey tower", which is a glass tower sticking out of the building.

Thgis is located behind some walls and not easy to find but it is an impressive old building in a courtyard. It served as a palace for of the Wittelsbachs.Since 1816 it has served as a governmebt office.

A great walk to see facades that you do not see in the US. Interesting information and views as you step back hundreds of years in the past for Bavarian history.

I did a few tours with Sandeman and this was a stop with the free walking tour and the Third Reich tour. Did you know Hitler wanted to be a painter and painted this? I didn't!

It is on your walking route through Munich. No need to plan an extra outing, but if you pass it, the have a closer look. It's one of the remaining historic old buildings in town.
