Overview
More
The Verkehrszentrum has adopted a new concept to showcase land transport in the exhibitions in three historic former trade fair halls at the Theresienhöhe facility. Trams, buses, cars, and two-wheelers drive down a road through time to the past and tell the stories of inner-city transport systems, infrastructures and traffic safety. Coaches, fast train locomotives, Pullman cars, and caravans paint a picture of the urge to travel from the pilgrimage to modern camper vans. The Verkehrszentrum breaks new ground with its exhibition concept. It attempts to present mobility in all its complexity.

Went there with 4.5 yo kid. Had big fun. Free for children under 6. 12 euro/adult. Took us all day to see. Need separate ticket for planetarium. Dont miss the shows at electrical hall. Must see especially for couples with young kid.

With a focus on transportation, this museum is much smaller than the main Deutsches Museum. Kids of all ages will enjoy seeing the many means of transportation in person. This makes it more manageable when you are traveling with young children who may get tired...More

I have been to this museum 4 times, the last time in about 2000. It was a 10 in my book, but has unfortunately slipped since then. they've gotten rid of much of their aviation, textile and other displays. Still, very interesting with the mining,...More

You can spend a full day without getting bored. Transportation, science.... For children and for the "Big Children". You will remember your school time and will learn something new.

Lots of hands-on exhibits of science and technology. A great place for families. Live demonstrations scheduled at various times throughout the museum. A full day of walking in a large space. Not for the arty types -- more like the geeky types.

We visited Verkehrszentrum after ten years. It had not changed much but it had in some ways. First of all they had built a decent entry space next to the hall of city transportation. The exposition is similar as it had been, however. You can...More
