This area is instantly recognisable to anyone familiar with the infamous Munich agreement. It was signed in what is now a university building. So however impressive the architecture remember what happened here in 1938.

If you didn't know the historical significance of this site, you'd walk right by without giving it a second glance. I suggest so some reading beforehand in order to fully appreciate the area where you are standing. Worth a stroll by for sure.

This is a very historic site and worth a visit. It's where the Munich agreement between Hitler and Neville Chamberlain about Czechoslovakia's Sudetenland was signed. There's currently a music school there.

I saw it from the hop on hop off bus - didn't see much sense getting out and walking around it as we got quite close from the bus and it was easy to see and appreciate from there. G.

Not really that much to see as a platz in itself. Its very large and if you can picture the history it could move you.

We visited the Führerbau at the Konigsplatz with the Third Reich Walking tour. We learnt that the building once served as a representative building for Adolf Hitler. The Führerbau has historical significance. It is the place where Neville Chamberlain and Adolf Hitler signed the Munich...More
