The open ground in-front of the statue is used for oktoberfest. Lots of open space to spent quality time with your family. Lots of photo opportunities.

Perfect place to meet-up with friends during Octoberfest. The bronze statute of Bavaria stands high on a hill with long staircase leading to her. Also a great view of the Octoberfest crowds. Statute would also be worth a visit at a less crowded time as...More

Well maintained, easy parking (non-Oktoberfest times), and most worthwhile between March and November when Bavaria is open for climbing the spiral stairs inside to the viewing platform which features a well-planned and unexpected surprise (won't spoil it for you). If going with kids, don't mention...More

I like walking around when the Oktoberfest is not going on. Just a cool place. Get yourself a guide book and read about the history...fabulous. There are plenty of places to eat nearby as well.

Honestly, it’s a great spot that isn’t too crowded. If there are more than 4 people in your group you’ll want to split that up to enjoy being in the head. Worth the 3 euro

A lovely statue which is hidden away. We stumbled across it by mistake. You walk across an open park/space and there she is, an 18m high bronze statue of the patron saint of Bavaria. Definitely worth a visit

We could see this statue from a side street across from our hotel but never saw it from the city, we walked over to it and it's adjacent park and were pleasantly surprised at how cool it was. The statue of the Patron of Bavaria...More

We walked here as I had seen pictures online and thought it looked beautiful. We went in January when it had snowed and icy so the highest parts were closed to the public. I can imagine that during October fest this is a brilliant place...More
