I like walking around when the Oktoberfest is not going on. Just a cool place. Get yourself a guide book and read about the history...fabulous. There are plenty of places to eat nearby as well.

The hall of fame is located on the Oktoberfest grounds and consists of a U-shaped peristyle. A larger than life bronze statue of Bavaria holding a crown in her left hand is situated on a stone pedestal at the center of the structure. The statue...More

Honestly, it’s a great spot that isn’t too crowded. If there are more than 4 people in your group you’ll want to split that up to enjoy being in the head. Worth the 3 euro

A lovely statue which is hidden away. We stumbled across it by mistake. You walk across an open park/space and there she is, an 18m high bronze statue of the patron saint of Bavaria. Definitely worth a visit

We could see this statue from a side street across from our hotel but never saw it from the city, we walked over to it and it's adjacent park and were pleasantly surprised at how cool it was. The statue of the Patron of Bavaria...More

We walked here as I had seen pictures online and thought it looked beautiful. We went in January when it had snowed and icy so the highest parts were closed to the public. I can imagine that during October fest this is a brilliant place...More

While at Oktoberfest, you have to visit the Bavaria statue and view the park from the top of the hill. You can also see those who didn't fare well sleeping it off on the hill below!

A very tall, impressive statue and a beautiful complex, but from 15th October the inside of the statue is closed for visitors, until March or April, not sure. Go anyway, to see also the place where Oktoberfest is held (in front of this statue).

Oktoberfest is full of people and venues with multiple locations and entrances. This location offers a clear landmark that is easy to find and typically not to crowded but occasionally hosts events during the festival.

We viewed from Oktoberfest as it looks down over the park (at the end with the older tents and funfair). Looks impressive and quite imposing.
