The Frauenkirche in Munich, also known as the Cathedral of Our Dear Lady, is currently being renovated, so unfortunately I could not enjoy it fully. It was still a beauty to behold, though. It's also known as the Munich Cathedral or Dom. I'm sure that...More

We spent a good 30-40 minutes outside the church just sitting in the shade on a sunny day. The water garden was fun for the kids, and was cooling on a hot day. We also liked the mini Munich map with the streets and small...More

This church is quite unusual to look at and you can only appreciate the sheer size of it by visiting it. It is well worth looking at the inside to.

This is actually the cathedral of the archdiocese of Munich. We arrived just as a mass was ending on a Sunday morning. After the congregation filed out, we could walk around the church to better see the side altars and the lovely stained glass windows....More

The interior is cavernous with a high ceiling and minimalistic furnishing. The stained glass windows are interesting. If you need to sit down after a long sightseeing treck I can recommend the little square behind the church which is shady and cool. The water feature...More

It is the cathedral for the area. The bishop is here. Beautiful architecture and paintings. Great religious icons and art. Plenty to see. You don’t need a lot of time and it was cool inside. Good for walking on your own tour

We did not get to go up into the towers as they are being renovated. The church itself while beautiful was nothing out of the ordinary as their are many beautiful churches in this region. I think that says something in that there are so...More

This Church is under reconstruction and therefore the towers were closed off. I visited to see the 'devils footprint' however, it was behind the closed gate. There is a spectacularly large marble carving at the back of the Church which is worth a look.

Don't know the answer to this. St. Peter is a good idea if you had a good preparation like a lunch or breakfast. I personally did not like the very narrow balcony, It is quite a challenge to pass between two people. But the... More
