Again a bit underwhelming with teenagers but I guess churches are on the list so worth seeing. The interior is a bit plainer than others

Christmas mass here with the bishop. Much of the church was destroyed in WWII and a stark white predominates. Cold in the winter.

Large church. Ordinary overall. Beautiful stained glass and an xl crucifix at the front. Symmetry abound. Big white pillars.

This cathedral is huge. It always amazes me how such a building was built centuries ago. There is a very ornate tomb of an emperor but apart from that very little in this huge space. Some of the other churches in Munich are ornate, this...More

Munich has many churches and Frauenkirche may be the easiest to locate because of the two twin towers ... they can be seen from just about anywhere in the old town section of Munich. During our visit the front facade was under construction and impossible...More

The Frauenkirche is a beautiful place of peace in the middle of the large city. Unlike some cathedral churches in other European cities it does not have a large square in front of it so it is difficult to get a good perspective from the...More

Not very embellished. Christ on the cross suspended from the ceiling. The devils footprint at the entrance. The Church is between the 2 big towers in old town. No entrance fee.

This church was rebuilt after the destruction during the war. Thus, you can see the differences in the stained glasses (contrast the back stained glasses with those in the front). Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful side chapels. Look out for the Devil's footprint, which legend says that...More

Don't know the answer to this. St. Peter is a good idea if you had a good preparation like a lunch or breakfast. I personally did not like the very narrow balcony, It is quite a challenge to pass between two people. But the... More
