Located centrally in Munich it is just adjacent to the Marienplatz U railway station. The castle art the centre, the clock towers & the church with their heritage architecture makes the place great & must see destination

This is the hub of life in Munich and it’s great that it is car free. There’s always someone playing music or putting on some entertainment so it’s never dull. Great place to people watch!

First and foremost, the square is a very beautiful place, both for being there and photo taking. Lots of shops and food places. I went there 4 out of my 6 days in Munich for having seen the places and dinners. There was a 40-musician-orchestra...More

Walking around you will be impressed by the multitude of beautiful shops and restaurant choices. The historical buildings are amazing! Perfectly restored after the war. It’s awe inspiring.

I would definitely schedule this location on a walking tour through the center of town. When walking through Munich, it's along the main route anyways.

We did not pay to walk around it. It hosts the mayor and city council. We had lunch at the historic restaurant, Ratskeller.
