This is a nice open square and typically very crowded as it’s used as a meeting place for guided tours as well as people wanting to view the hourly chimes of the Glockenspiel. From what we learned the figurines in the Glockenspiel only come to...More

A very busy area, and a true Bavarien feel. Be aware of the times shops are opened and closed.you can sit and eat and drink, or shop at all the stores.

It is a crowded square. Good to people watch here. There is a clock tower. You can find many shops and restaurants. It is also the meeting place for some tours.

Everyone who visits Munich, spends at least a moment in Marienplatz. It is an amazing place to admire the architecture as well as the masses of tourists!

The architecture of the buildings is beautiful. Once you exit the metro station, the sights your hit with are wonderful. Plenty of designer stores, lesser known stores, market stalls, food, deserts, bakeries, you name it. Also in the centre there was a small concert going...More

We were there on a Saturday night and found this square to be so so entertaining. There are no cars allowed and fun to walk around.
