There is a good walking path along the lake. Good views along the way, with sights of the castles from a couple of different angles.

There a a restaurant just in front of the lake that is close to the Bavarian Kings museum. You can start with the castles and leave the museum and Alpseebad to the end to close with a meal, admiring the view
