I love the way the German's eulogize their loved ones, especially their lost sons and daughter's due to WWII. Very much worth the visit! Take flowers! This will impact you!

Came upon this while waiting for our bus for the return trip to Salzburg. The monuments were interesting and picturesque. Peaceful and beautiful.

An interesting and well kept cemetery. It is sad to see so many war head stones marked with the place of death being 'in Russia' or 'in the east'. There are many candles burning at night. Well worth a visit.

We walked through this cemetery almost daily to get from lower part of the town to the upper section. It was quite educational to see how the German people take care of the grave sites to include the lighting of candles daily.

The villages really remember their ancestors and keep the graves clean. They even put candles on the graves and make sure they are lit every night. It is odd, but at night, it has a 'romantic' glow around it.
