Great place to seek out the graves of some who figured prominently in the Third Reich. Look for Hans Lammers and Dietrich Eckart.

Visited to find the grave of Toni Kurz who tragically died while attempting a climb of the North face of the Eiger in 1936. Also saw the grave of Dietrich Eckart who was Hitler"s mentor in the 1920's.

I love the way the German's eulogize their loved ones, especially their lost sons and daughter's due to WWII. Very much worth the visit! Take flowers! This will impact you!

Came upon this while waiting for our bus for the return trip to Salzburg. The monuments were interesting and picturesque. Peaceful and beautiful.

An interesting and well kept cemetery. It is sad to see so many war head stones marked with the place of death being 'in Russia' or 'in the east'. There are many candles burning at night. Well worth a visit.
