As I mentioned in my review, the Kornmarkt/Schloss multistory car park is just round the corner of the funicular base station. and also steps from the Marktplatz, the center of Heidelberg. A visit to the castle is recommended. From the castle grounds a nice view on Heidelberg can be had. The ticket to the funicular is also valid for all the castle venues, except the guided tour.
