We stayed here for two nights last weekend. It was fab! Realky nice rooms, nice staff, great breakfast. The owners very kindly left some beautiful wine in our room, as we had been joking about only water in the minibar. Really really nice people.

We spent a morning at Kloster Hirsau, and it was very special. There weren't many tourists around, so we could walk around in peace and take it all in. These ruins are a complex of buildings and chapels, now overgrown and set in a lovely...More

Only 2 km away from Calw. Worth of a visit when you visit north Black Forest. No ticket is required to visit the ruins (only a small fee for the nearby museum). A must go is the Cafe at Kloster. The interior gives a flavor...More

Just outside town in road towards Bad Willdbad. Most impressive is ruin on cloister. Abbey church evangelical so has few details from days as Cluniac church.

My children love this beautiful ruin. You are surrounded by gorgeous views of the Schwarzwald and the ruins are some of the best in the area. Kids can climb around on the walls and run on the grounds. It's peaceful, easy parking and close to...More

Calw is very small and you can walk from the station. Pretty little town in and of itself.
