Expensive entrance price for paintings which I did not like (I like the French artist Othoniel on the basement, tough). The place might be worth seeing because the architecture of the museum is great. It is quite a small museum.

Very dissappointing. It is a beautiful building well suited to modern art. The special exhibition was Neo Rauch. What I didn't realise was that the whole museum was given over to his work. If you liked it, fine, but I didn't and that made it...More

So, we are in Baden Baden with our sixteen year old son. We visited the tourist office for suggestions on what to see and do here in Baden Baden. The lady we spoke to was very helpful and among several successful ideas she also suggested...More

The museum itself is an exciting archtectonic building. They have nearly always interesting exhibitions. This time: James Turrell, the light artist, he is working with light and colors and our percepition of it. We took part in a tour of the exhibition, that is a...More

Visited for the James Turrell exhibition in June 2018. While the artworks dislayed were interesting (5 installations, several holographic images and a series of drawings), the museum, despite stating on its website that it is ‘internationally renowned’, does not bother to provide English explanations or...More

Visited the Frieder Burda museum to see a James Turrell exhition. The building itself is very impressive and well suited for displaying modern art. The work on show was amazing and challenged the senses.

The Frieder Burda is housed in an ultramodern building with lots of natural light. One admission fee of 18E gets you into the Frieder Burda as well as the Staatliche Kunsthalle art museum, which are connected by a second floor bridge. Frieder Burda houses rotating...More

Small but well curated pop art exhibition in an impressive gallery setting. If you have kids beware that this is a very staffed gallery and strict rules about bags being in lockers and observing the lines to protect the art works.

My fist impression was that for the entrance fee they charge the collection should have been bigger. However, as I was told while there they never have all their artworks on display, they keep changing them and mixing them with loans from major art galleries...More

I visit Baden-Baden every year and never miss visiting the exhibitions in this fabulous museum. The architecture of the building itself is extraordinary (there is so much light) and the choice of themes and quality of works is extraordinary on International standards.
