Be careful with the ski pass insurance! My Family and I spent a week at Val d’Isere on January 2018. We bought the ski pass together with the Insurance as we always do when go for skiing. They explained that if we had some problem...More

It was our second year consecutive experience this March. We had 5 days of perfect sun, perfect ski, perfect snow, perfect temperature. The ski domain is really nice, restaurants are great (even at 3000 m +) and the sites are pittoresque.

Never again. - Our flight times were changed significantly without consulting us for both our inbound and outbound journeys. - They couldn't arrange ski carriage for us and couldn't change us onto another flight. - They have charged us extra for people with dietary requirements....More

We visited in March, probably for the fourth or fifth time. The Solaise lift has been upgraded to a very good gondola, and the queues are well managed which is a vast improvement on the old chairlift. The solaise side of the mountain has a...More

Val d'Isere is a fantastic ski area for intermediate to expert skiers, but it's not great for beginners. Several runs that are graded blue (easy) should be graded red (difficult). In particular the only 'blue' run into Val d'Isere, 'Santons', is basically a long gully...More

I agree, its a great resort for all levels. With wide open spaces, plenty of ski lifts and food places to enjoy and rest. We stayed Christmas week and saw no long queues for the lifts. As the area is so vast, people were able...More

We went there for Easter 2015. I was a total beginner and my boyfriend was on a more advanced level but we both found enough routes for skiing. There are many lifts and even during busy times, the waiting time was minimal. There are few...More

An incredible area for skiers of all abilities. Efficient lift systems to enable skiers to access the many runs in the resort quickly and easily.

The mountains look very nice when the sun is up. But for the week that we were there, sunshine is counted in hours. It can be splendid for a couple of hours and then turned into a hurricane (with wind >70km/hr) the next. Snow blows...More

Sorry, I have only just seen your question. In any case, I don't think I can advise you as it depends very much where you eat and drink and what you east and drink.

I am sorry, but even if I had seen this sooner, I could not have answered it. We stayed in Tignes, not in Val d'Isere, and as we were there to ski we did not go into the village at Val d'Isere at all.
