Situated between Bellecour and the Rhone it's not difficult to find this beautiful tree. If this doesn't bring a smile to your face nothing will and it's free. What more could you ask for?

This was right by our hotel in Place Bellecour so we couldn’t miss it. It was large and colorful but didn’t draw me in.

It's very colorful and distinctive and easy to see when touring Lyon by bus. I'm not sure how it fits in with the overall architecture of Lyon but it is a landmark.

Don't bother! Lyon has plenty of interesting art -historical or contemporary. Only if you think that Jeff Koons or Dale Chiluly are the acme of contemporary art...
