This is a very modern building with unusual architectural features. Inside there are temporary and permanent exhibitions of various kinds as well as views over the confluence of the Rhone and the Saone. We visited on a public holiday and it was very crowded with...More

Go there for the location and the building in a day with good weather to appreciate the landscape. Do not expect to visit a museum with interesting permanent collection. The museum instead hosts temporary exposition that are worthwhile.

I usually avoid natural history museums because they are such a snooze: a bunch of bones, a few dioramas, a lot of Latin names on tags. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Therefore, we thought we would just have a look at the outside of the spectacular-looking new spaceship-like building...More

A stunning building and a masterpiece of modern French steeel and glass architecture. Disappointed that there were not internal exhibits more associated with the two rivers and a permanent record of the importance of the confluence

One of the best museums I have visited. The layout of the rooms has a contemporary feel, you are not overwhelmed by artefacts. Most areas are documented in both French and English which is helpful for many visitors. The building is spectacular from the outside

This museum can be recommended. Exhibition was well organized and very modern Building itself is also worth of seeing
